LED numeral

I wasn't surprised to see the segments broken into squares but was surprised upon lowering the exposure to see the detail structure in the squares. I thought perhaps a camera artifact but different LED structures have different patterns. However camera artifacts still may play a part because occasionally photos of lighting at low exposures do show patterns at distances seemingly too far to resolve the patterns
