This is Joe Smale and his mum Debbie attending the Medical Research All Party Parliamentary Group Summer reception at the House of Commons this week. Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research won one of the 17 exhibition spaces and we presented a poster that talked about our development of the MRD test , which is now standard practice in the NHS to personalise treatment for children with leukaemia. Joe at just 16 has had leukaemia three times and in spite of this still did his GCSEs on time , incredible courage and a wonderful family supporting him.
