Poor Treacle (backblip)

Treacle was neutered quite late. He was a year old before the vets would operate to find his undescended testicle. As if that were notbad enough, he turned out to be allergic to his catgut stitches and became really quite ill. He spent several weeks in this collar, with a drain in his wound.

This photo was used to base a pencil sketch on, for illustrating a book by Marilyn Edwards. Treacle is a half-sibling of one of Marilyn's cats, also a melanistic Bengal.
