Spirit Bird.

My colourful Rainbow Lorikeet friends are loving the new diet I am feeding them, which was highly recommended by the pet shop in Tweed Heads, and I am seeing a look of contentment on their tiny faces after they have had their fill.

One such bird sat perched upon the back of the old chair today, splattered with tiny dots of left over mush and a glazed, contented look in its eye. And as I pressed the camera button, in flew another Lorikeet....resulting in a rather interesting image of what I thought looked like a Spirit Bird.

Of course, I have no idea whatsoever what a Spirit Bird would look like, but I do fancy that this colourful gossamer image needs a much more fitting description than "a-bird-about-to-land-next-to-the-contented-one".....so Spirit Bird it is!
