Pottery from Granada

A fair of traditional Spanish pottery is being held in Granada these days. It is amazing to see the enormous variety of colours, shapes and uses of these items. I love them all!!
Here you can see the traditional colours of the pottery made in Granada. They have Arabic origin, the same as the word used for pottery: 'Alfareria'
In one of the dishes, made for decoration, these words can be read:
Give him alms, woman, that there is nothing sadder in life than being blind in Granada.
This short poem , by Francisco de Icaza, is written on the walls of a tower in the Alhambra where a blind beggar used to sit.
