BlipaEwan 25...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I try to get them on the same date of each month (the one year ago thumbnail has proved a brilliant tool for this series) and in the same pose so that I can see how they change over time.

Today is Ewan's 2nd birthday. It's really weird, I always forget that he's so young. He seems to have had a good birthday, he got a Postman Pat helicopter a Bob the Builder real brick building set along with a couple of other wee odds and sods. That said, these all paled into insignificance next to his birthday balloons. He got a face cake for a birthday cake using this photo. It looks brill.

It kinda snuck up on us but Ewan is doing really well with his speech. He is forming short sentences and his vocabulary has really expanded in the last month or so. It won't be long at all until we can have full conversations with him.

He had a wonderful holiday in the snow while we were down at Northumberland on holiday. Whenever he was in the snow, he would bend over, grab to handfuls of snow and then run up to the nearest adult and throw/thrust the snow at their knees.

Do you know the song 'Miss Polly had a Dolly'? Ewan seems to have picked up all the actions from somewhere. He doesn't go to nursery and we've not really specifically taught him. We were just singing it one night and he started doing all the actions. The other week we were singing the song and he was doing the actions but this time when we got to the end we all clapped for him doing the actions and he just started bowing. Putting his hand across his stomach and bowing over it. Have not got a clue where he picked that up from but it was really cute.
