Cricket on the green

Today is the summer solstice. ‘Solstice’ literally means stopping or standing still of the sun. It is used as a name for the longest day of the year – 21 June – when the sun is at its highest point in the northern hemisphere. In the UK, druids don white robes but this is as close as I could get - cricketers in white! It's been a lovely sunny day - morning weeding in the garden and this afternoon we watched our "Pevensey Wanderers" (our name for the local cricket team). I don't understand cricket but we still enjoy watching them play.
