Mountain pool

9 of us set up An Caisteal (near Crianlarich) this morning, though we were delayed a little by a guy trying to overtake and driving into the ditch. Fortunately he was okay and we took him a few miles up the road to a garage to see about rescuing his car.
The morning was rather overcast with clouds on the tops, and a few blue patches, but as we neared the top it came down more and at one stage we were walking in thick mist past a patch of snow (mid-summer?!).
Mr Rat went back down after this as he had a slight muscle strain after running too hard on the hills the other evening but the rest of us went on to Beinn a'Chroin as the clouds cleared away. There were a few tricky bits but then the long summit ridge gave good walking past lots of little pools.
The downhill was rough and later boggy, which meant it was quite hard going, so the overall effort was much the same as 2 weeks ago, even though shorter.
