Milwaukee Skyline

Today was a bit of a let down, as it's the day of the airshow, & we were so looking forward to watching the planes! The Blue Angels were back in the line up of performers this year, after being absent the last few years due to budget cuts. We've seen them (& HEARD them) off & on for the past few days, as our house lies between the airport & the lake & they were flying around getting their bearings. It was estimated that close to a million people would be watching the show this year, & then we woke up to clouds & more rain! It didn't start until 1200 so we were hoping the clouds would break up before that! We waited until 1230 & drove about a mile from the house & stood up on one of the bluffs above the lake where we'd be able to see, & there were already people set up there with grills & making a party of it. Most of the people went downtown to McKinnley Beach, or further north to Bradford Beach, as there were bleachers set up at both places to sit & better watch the show. But....this was the view!! No Show! Oh well, there's still tomorrow if it clears up by then! (Even FOGGIER viewed LARGE! Haha!)
