So today was the first Saturday I had to work in the new job. They hadn't been able to slot me in the rota until one of my colleagues left for her materinaty leave. Lucky me :-) But I must admit although it all ran very smoothly and we all got to go home in time (Saturdays in the veterinary world always have the potential to go pear-shaped) - it still sucks to work on the weekends!!
