Once again it is the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride – an annual charity cycle ride from Wetherby to Filey – a distance of 70 miles. On this very hot day, over 2000 cyclists have been arriving at the finish line for the last 7 hours. Some of the more energetic even cycle back to the start again !

Not a lot of folk know this – I certainly did not – did you know that there are more cricket clubs in Yorkshire – 747 – than in the whole of Australia. There you go !
