Walking on Inis Oirr

We left home at 4.45am and made it to Doolin, Co. Clare for the 10.00am ferry to Inis Oirr, the smallest of the Aran Islands, the weather was perfect and the sea calm. Spent a fabulous day exploring the Island on foot, the grassy paths, full of wild flowers were a joy to walk on and we could peep over the uniquely constructed stone wall to the small flower filled meadows. we found a plunge pool down on the tidal, rocky pavements and cooled off! This is the Islands light house across the walls, with the Cliffs of Moher in the far distance.
