Proud Mum

We seem to have many more eiders in the bay than in previous years and there are lots of ducklings about too, little fluffy balls on long, ungainly legs! The poor mothers have a struggle to protect them from the gulls, skuas and hooded crows, they are always trying to round them up and guide them into the shelter of the slip way.

Home from the town to find a message on the phone saying Dad had fallen and been taken to hospital to get his head glued back together. He still has some fighting spirit left in him! Really looking forward to seeing him next week.
