One of my hens

After all the rain last night, it was a beautiful sunny NW today. The new southerly dusting of snow on the tops and ski areas will not last in this weather. Today was Cardrona's opening day!!! Not enough snow really. Much of the area is still closed.

Let my hens roam in the garden - they head to the dryish earth under our dining area window. Its the shortest day and they love the dust bath and warm sum.
Sooner or later they head to the veggy patch and the silver beet. Actually a small wild rabbit has a beaten them to most of the greens.
