Buddleia Surprise
Walking round the garden this morning much to our surprise we found this amazing colourful creature on the buddleia near the front door. It’s a Mullein Moth Caterpillar and normally they eat species of the mullein plant after which they are named.
They are sometimes found on buddleia especially in gardens. We have seen them on mullein when they appear in quite large groups so it seems odd to find just one. Perhaps more will appear over the next few days. It seems they can be quite a pest. Will have to see.
