What I'm reading
This is actually yesterday's blip, and the Cashes Green/Ruscombe one was also, but the blipfoto app got muddled, and so this will have to do, as I've not taken any pix today.
After work, I'd missed the bus home, so popped up to the un-lovely Merrywalks mall where, instead of buying toothpaste as planned, I ended up with a new outfit of clothes! As one does. Then I took the bus home via Purgatory and Infinity, (the 8A goes round the circular route backwards) and did a bit more weeding, and sanded down the Giant Jenga blocks which were made of very splintery pine. I tried a game against myself but it wasn't fun. So I left the tower of Jenga on the back steps and went upstairs to do some paperwork. When I came down, a couple of hours later, I found that a Pigeon had crapped on it!
I carried on in this houseworky vein, and sorting out my desk, until CleanSteve came home from Exeter. Good to see him again, but he is tired and wants to chill out with photos.
In other news, I saw a baby woodpecker twice on the Rhus tree today! It is making solo forays from the sycamore, where its nest is, to the rhus, where the feeders are. It doesn't stay long enough for me to get my camera out, sadly.
The books are: a book about a woman who grew up in a commune in Taos, New Mexico, in the 70s; a book about books; and a twee crime thriller. I am also 'reading' an audio book. Little wonder that I am confused!
