Mike - Who used to be Fred

THis is one of my student's, Mike. His (English) name used to be Fred but he changed it. As is the way with kids, Mike ended up with a blood nose today before class. This was the solution. It is common for a kid with a blood (Or very runny) nose to just plug it up this way and carry on as if nothing were different. Chinese kids laugh at any student who is a little different, but as funny as it seems, this doesn't even rate a second look from other kids. It's kinda off putting though, when there are two kids sitting in class with a wad of toilet paper shoved up their noses.

He is a little bit blurred because he was playing hide and seek with the camera. That's why he has such a huge grin.. He's a good kid.
