Not on Sundays

A change of direction for our WI walk this morning; we headed up to Northcliffe Park and on to the hamlet of Heaton Royds, known locally as Six Days Only. The name dates back to a time when one of the cottage dwellers sold nettle and root beer, and garden produce, but would not sell on the Sabbath.

We then headed down through the woods and back through to Northcliffe where we enjoyed a coffee at the café run by the Northcliffe Environmental Enterprises Team NEET
