A different take

I've just spent two days in Edinburgh at a training workshop about a toolkit for teaching creative students how to start a business. Very interesting, especially the discussions, and I picked up a lot of ideas.

Edinburgh is looking lovely in the sunshine, and Princes St gardens were full of people strolling along or lying on the grass. I tried taking a photo of the Scott Monument yesterday, as I headed back to the train, but I was taking it from the wrong side and it didn't work out. Anyway, last night I came across this blip by petespics and really liked the over-exposure technique described here so I thought I'd have a go at it.
I quite like it, but I think I need to try it out a bit more. It would be ideal for these grey Scottish days!

This may be my entry for this week's blip challenge of 'unique', as I'm pretty sure that it is the only monument in the world, dedicated to Sir Walter Scott, that has 287 steps.
