Reyes Adobe Ranch

Not to many photographically interesting pictures taken, but lots of historically interesting pictures. It's been a brisk and windy day here!

I went on another field trip with Victoria today. Since the 4th graders are studying Californian history, they toured a Spanish style adobe house from the 1840's. There we two docents that were acting as settlers from that time. The kids got to grind corn into massa, shake cream into butter, and pat massa dough into tortillas! They really liked it. They even got to take turns lassoing a "bull".

This is a picture of the docent in front of the old glass window in the bedroom. The kids were sitting on the floor on Mexican blankets.
