Fact or Fiction?

This is a basin stone contained within a perimiter wall of St Johns Episcopal Church at Arpafeelie. Legend has it that any animal drinking 'cloud water' from the basin would sicken and die, so eventually it was buried. The basin was uncovered during renovations and incorporated into the wall on it's side to prevent cloud water from gathering.
