When your best isn't good enough...
Well I must have taken about 100 shots with three different lenses on the Nikon 7100. The best results came from a hand held prime 105mm lens at about 20 yards. So here it is, my gollybird shot that I couldn't manage yesterday. Talking of 'gollies'; when I was a kid bird nesting around Shotton Colliery in County Durham if we found a nest with young in it we used to say it "had gollies". I wonder where that expression came from?
Anyway, if you look closely you'll see that baby moorhens are as ugly as I previously described with faces only a mother could love.
BTW I back Blipped a couple of pics while I was away which you may not have seen. They were…
Clarke Quay, Singapore

A secret place. Bus graveyard
