Delights of Mid Summer

Travelled down the east coast by train today to visit family. It is my sister's birthday today so later this afternoon we popped over for tea and cake. A pre-dinner stroll around the village afforded me views across the open fields - now high with wheat (still green) and surrounded by hedgerows spilling over with summer growth. At dinner we were treated to broad beans, courgettes and rhubarb from the allotment. Delicious (:
