Sunrise at Taylor Dam
Granddad is still hanging on, but he's not conscious, so times are difficult for my mum. I'm at the point where I can't cry anymore, I have run dry. I still ache, but daily life goes on. Thank you to you all for all of your heartfelt comments in recent days; you have made the days seem lighter and have helped me to remember the good times.
As this is my first midwinter spent in New Zealand, I wanted to get up one day this week to try and get a sunrise shot on a day when I'm used to constant sunshine. This morning was cold and clear with frosts, so I threw on my winter clothes and went out to the Taylor Dam. The sunrise was beautiful, but it was very cold, and it was the first time I noticed that my camera felt the cold too! This was one of many shots taken this morning; I chose it because of the contrasts between the light and the shadow.
