Jinxed Beauty

This guitar is a monster - 19" across the hips. The back & sides are of Indonesian rosewood - some of the most beautiful I've seen.

Trouble is - she's jinxed :o#

She's an acoustic "touch" guitar (Chapman Stick type) ordered by a Japanese enthusiast. Trouble is the neck...

Everything was looking fine until CC put the strings on & found that the truss-rod wasn't reacting. So - we took the fingerboard off to find that despite all normal precautions it had been glued solid - no way it could move!

OK - new fingerboard - new truss-rod.

Today I finished off the frets ready for the final "fret-dress" (leveling) & CC gave the new truss rod a bit of a tweak - damned thing snapped...
