Durisdeer Hill Run

Adam here roped me in to help steward his hill run. For a change I got Black Hill. Thinking no bother I set out, it's the second one I thought. Wrong up, down, up, down and then oh heck uuuup. I just made it in time as the race started. The Moffat Mountain Rescue guys must have thought they'd met their first casualty. We also as being checkpoint 1 were last checkpoint so once they'd all apst we had to wait for their return. Not a problem it was great watching rain clouds sail across the Nith Valley. Not to mention the rescue guys driving on to the hill above Enterkin in order to rescue their other 4x4. I am always impressed by the waay every single runner on the way out and back always thanks the marshalls no matter how tired they must be. I was shattered just going up and down the first stage. The church are great and let them use the hall for awards and the fabulous baking on offer. The rain just started as we got in but I'm heading back to photograph church and graveyard really amazing!
