Coming Out

Todays Lily is the same flower seen in bud last week. Spot the bug coming out after a night between the petals.

This is Lilum formosanum var pricei, a dwarf species at 12-18" high with relatively large flowers. It has a reputation for being short-lived but as it is easily raised from seed this matters little.
