Auld Reekie

Three days of heat in a row- our cup runneth over indeed!
The freshly cut Meadows and Bruntsfield Links looked splendid in the sun as His Lordship and I ambled over them this morning, adroitly side swerving the Pitch and Putters out honing their swings.

Later we climbed into the sky to find the Fine Art department in the Central Library where the Penelope Sisters have an exhibition of their embroidery work.
A friend, whose patchwork featured in a previous blip of mine, had a prominent and outstanding display of creativeness in her display of 'Not a Bag'.

As I glided past the displays, I was drawn to the view out of the window over the roof tops to the west. In the olden days with all those chimneys in use, it is easy to see why Edinburgh was called 'Auld Reekie'.
