Swallow-tailed moth

I put the moth trap out again last night, and had a fairly good catch. This is a Swallow-tailed moth (Ourapteryx sambucaria). It is quite a big moth with a forewing that is up to 30mm in length from apex to tip. It is common, and its larvae feed on a wide range of shrubs and trees. It is worth looking at it in the larger version as then you can see a red spot at the base of each hindwing next to its "tails".
