For the want of a $1 part.

So, the new CH boiler was installed today. At about 7pm the fitter realised he was a pipe connector short of a working central heating system.

I hadn't realised until I posted that link that we've been a full month without properly working heating and hot water. I suppose another night won't make a great deal of difference.

Oh, and I might get the chance to spend even more money tomorrow, when it seems that the garage has finally conceded that a car that won't go does, after all, have a fault.
