Just a Friendly

While all eyes are on their favorite teams fighting to move to the next stage at the World Cup, a friendly match took place tonight in front of a smaller crowd at Legion Stadium in Wilmington.

Tonight the Hammerheads played against their partners in North America's Major League Soccer, Toronto FC. Missing from Toronto's roster were U.S. midfielder Michael Bradley and the Brazilian Julio Cesar, both playing for their respective countries at the World Cup.

The young boy sitting here has clearly chosen his favorite player, Clint Dempsey, scoring the 5th earliest goal in World Cup history against Ghana on Monday. Say hello to Alex!
