Made it through the storm
I found this bee hiding under a daisy after a big rainstorm today. I took a few images just as the rain had stopped and then went back later to see how it was doing after the sun came out. It had dried off and was collecting pollen topside, so I grabbed a few more images. I'm stumped for an identification; it has eyes like a digger bee, but none of the images I found had front legs like these... Any ideas?
Here's a closer look and a couple of other shots here and here.
*Edit - Chamaeleo came up with the identification for me. This is a leaf-cutter bee (genus Megachile). Thank you Chamaeleo!
