Storm clouds gathering

This is Sears Tower which used to be America's tallest building until One World Trade Centre was finished.
We were going to take the elevator to the observation deck but the sky darkened and the rain started, it was torrential with thunder & lightning ! We took shelter in a nearby coffee shop and within half hour it had brightened up and it was dry again!


We had a lovely afternoon walking by the river in the sunshine and just soaking up the atmosphere of this fantastic city but shortly after we returned to the hotel the rain started again & thunder & lightning so may not go much farther tonight!

I think the hotel restaurant may be the place to eat dinner tonight !
