Blue Sky

It was a sensationally hot and sunny day in Edinburgh today! \o/ Yay! I didn't actually take a lot of photographs as it was really too hot to wander around much, after hanging around the Gardens for a couple hours I decided to retreat back to Leith and enjoy a couple bottles of beer (which I had in my bag) beside The Shore, where there was a pleasant light breeze.

It was actually quite difficult to get decent landscape photographs as it was so bright and there were very strong shadows, but this one came out quite well. It was taken from West Princes Street Gardens looking East towards The Mound, you can just see a Sphinx and a Saltire on a flagpole on top of The National Gallery (and no I've no idea why there are sphinxes on top of the National Gallery).
