Blanketflower

This is a just-opening Blanketflower, sometimes called Indian Blanketflower or Firewheel... Gailardia pulchella. It is a Native Wildflower in most of the continental US and has been introduced into Hawaii and Canada. Blanketflower thrives in the blazing sun and takes absolutely no care. It reseeds readily and spreads like crazy. The buzzers love it and so do I.
