iPhone

I have just had a spanking new 3Gs iPhone with a Vodafone contract delivered to the castle today. My old iPhone 3G was on an o2 contract, but o2 has limited coverage in the wilds of Rannoch where I sometimes need it. I have a designated new home for the discarded phone where I hope it will be happy and useful.
It took only 2 phone calls 4 hours apart to manage to get my new sim card activated and I listened to rather a lot of musak while I waited for an operator; but it has been worth it......now.

As I prepared this afternoon to go and meet my granddaughter from school,shivering at the prospect, I was reminded of the Shakin Stevens song- Snow is falling, all around me, children playing, having fun. Good for them was my thought, because I'm not having fun anymore. The snow is now a horrible thawing mush underfoot, not the lovely white powdery stuff of last week, and what falls from the sky every now and then is wet and nasty sleet. Bah Humbug once more!
