Mo and Babba
...on Bolton Town Hall steps.
I was watching this elderly gent play with his Grandson on the steps whilst waiting for a colleague after a meeting in the Town Hall. He was so gentle and patient as the little boy took ages to get to any step with a pigeon on...only for it to fly away and the little boy turn around and go up or down again in pursuit of another!
I talked to the old man for a while and we managed a few exchanges tho his English was not strong...and my Punjabi even worse. But we did work out names...the little boy is Mo and Babba means Grandpa...( but apparently only for paternal grandfather...its Dadaa for maternal .....I googled it to make sure I'd understood him !)
Put this into a sepia tone because their image seemed pretty timeless ( except for the little lads trainers!) and I loved the textures of the fabrics and the stone. But mostly I like the detail of Babba's elderly hand.
