Cactus Flower

I have had a few cactussessess for about 10 years. Im a terrible owner and forget to water them for months but if I do remember to do it then sometimes I get a pleasant surprise.

Ive had this little lady since she was about the size of a golf ball. Shes now about 6 inches high and recently got 2 bobbles on top a little like ears. They have both suddenly turned into flowers, this is the biggest one and is twice the size of the plant itself.

So the moral of the story is "ignore your children and don't feed them so they are really appreciative when you do !" . . . . . . . maybe this is why I wasn't cut out to have children . . .
