THE RIGHT AFTERNOON FOR A TRIP

to the Sababurg primeval forest. The weather so pleasant, the drive to it not too long. Some trees there are more than 800 years old and it showed!
Piet Hein shows a picture of a tree, if you like you can see it here.
We walked the paths and how strange it was that at some spots there were so many black beetles, they sat quite still, or walked, or disappeared in small holes, but many were simply dead. The cause of it unknown to us.
We took the walk of 2,5 km, but next time we will make the longest, so exiting we found it.
From there we drove back and visited Lippoldsberg, a heavenly place where we drank tea, opposite the beautiful old church and cloister.
The little carferry brought us back to the other side of the Weser and back home
we made a meal and looked at our pictures.
My choice is a picture of one of the beetles, a little friendly one!

My haiku:

On your own in the
Forest, finding the right way
Without directions

And the proverb:

Ride softly, that we may come sooner home.
