that was when I last used the Marks & Spencer cafe in Birmingham

I know that because it was a significant last time

every December my friend Robert travelled from where ever he was to Birmingham...we had a posh Italian...he bought his wife a gift voucher as a present...we had coffee and cake here before going our separate ways

we did it 19 December 2008
my partner died in July 2009 so we decided to miss a year
In December 2010 I went to Robert's funeral

I guess I avoided the place since but with everything that's going on it felt right to do my agenda reading with a bacon butty remembering

Then I remembered Robert was a vegetarian and would not have approved of the (divine) bacon
