Fortress Wapping breached

It's the end of an era for newspaper history and also one for me too. This is the print/editorial site that caused such sweeping changes in the print industry and ultimately heralded the end of the overbearing print unions. It stood as a beacon for the whole of "Fleet Street". Now that fortress is an empty shell and its bare bones are on show for all to see. Every day another rib is ripped out and soon it will be all gone. Some will say good riddance. Personally it gave me an assured future in newspapers, one that was seriously in jeopardy before Mr Murdoch took the bold step. Happy memories - mostly!
