Pond Life Bench
At High Wycombe Museum this afternoon, for a very productive discussion with the Arts Development Officer for Wycombe District Council about the piece of sculpture we are planning to commission as part of our Peace Garden. She had lots of helpful suggestions about what should go into the brief for the artist, and also possible sources of funding.
This bench is in the grounds in front of the museum. It's made from sweet chestnut and Cedar of Lebanon, using timbers from Bagley Wood near Oxford, and explores the relationship between furniture and sculpture.
