Brandy Bottle

The widely distributed yellow water lily or brandy-bottle (Nuphar luteum) seen all over the lake in Greggs Wood during woodland managment work today.

Greggs Wood covers about 100acres behind a large housing estate. Our work is to make the woods more accessible  and pleasant so that the locals can enjoy them instead of chucking their rubbish in them.   We cleared umpteen bags of rubbish and made some pitches for the fishermen's tents so they do not block the path that was made on an earlier work day.
