Rush hour on Sukhumvit Road

As part of my plan to blip my neighborhood, this photo was taken from a pedestrian walkover directly across from the mouth of Soi 12 (my street, unseen on the right). On the way home from my daughter's doctor appointment by taxi, we got caught in this so we elected to get out and walk home instead of staying in the taxi and braving that gridlock to go another couple hundred meters, only to make a U-turn and come back to our street. It was much faster to walk.

The concrete supports running down the center of the road are for the skytrain. I can't imagine life in this city without it.
