The Book Thief is still very present in my mind, but I've started another book, The Bees, by Laline Paull, that's grabbed me instantly. A reviewer wondered how much of the information about bees was factual as she began the book. By the middle she didn't care, she was so totally wrapped up in the story. That's the way I feel about Flora 717 , sanitation worker, lowest of the low in bee society, but such a heroine.
