The Palm House

In Belfast, it rains a lot. Today was a particularly grey and miserable morning. I was finding it hard to see anything worth photographing on my walk to work, so I thought I'd go for an architectural shot.

This is the Palm House in Botanic Gardens, right beside Queen's University. It was built in 1840, and I just think it's fantastic. Unfortunately it's impossible to get a good shot of the whole building - even with a wide angle lens - thanks to the palm tree in front of it. I suppose it was designed that way, so who am I to argue? :)
