My first grandchild. He has a new present from us - a baby bouncer which he loves although Fred (the dog) looks a little miffed. When my daughter India was the same age we also bought her a baby bouncer and attached in the doorway between the living room and the kitchen she would happily bounce around trying to make contact with one of the dogs - a Border Collie Jake ad a GSD called Blue. Blue had the sense not to go near her but Jake always wanted to get to the other side. Just when he thought it was safe he would make a dash for the doorway only to be trounced by the diminutive India with a special perfectly executed bounce. It became a battle of wits and when she had outgrown the bouncer a much relieved Jake retired to his kennel with a big sigh (and a few bruises) that is until the next milestone challenge came along. They were both brilliant with her and are much missed. India continues this life with much the same attitude as then.
