Down t' Tip

It was going to be an early blip as we off out this evening, but it didn’t turn out that way.

It was down to the Recycling Centre (as tips are called nowadays) for the second day running of clearing Emma’s old flat. This time it was a mattress, the workmen there obviously have a sense of humour!

Later this evening we went to the opera, the ENO doing Beriloz’s Benvenuto Cellini, streamed live from the Coliseum Theatre in London to our local Picture House, and many others across the country I suspect.

It was three hours of pure entertainment, quite a spectacular performance, especially the chorus scenes with the Mardi Gras. I think the rise of live streaming of art and cultural events is a great innovation.
