PLANE CASTLE

It was such a beautiful day I decided to cycle to work and, as it was still warm and sunny at lunchtime, I had a wee cycle tour of my local area. I stopped to take a picture of Plane Castle which was the baronial house of the Sommervilles, Lords of Plane from 1428 to 1643. It is situated 6 miles south of Stirling, on the edge of the Bannockburn battlefield. It had been renovated recently and is still being used today!
