Carlisle Rendezvous

Backblip

I met up with mum in Carlisle for a few hours. As a 'pensioner' she was able to buy a special ticket for a discounted price and I got the train across from Hexham. My mum is the most fit and active pensioner I have met, despite having just celebrated her 72nd birthday! In fact I had to tell her off for J walking as I had a nervous moment thinking she was going to be knocked over as she ran across the road! Mum and dad are off the USA and Canada in a couple of weeks so I hope she doesn't J walk there!

After a delicious lunch in the priory cafe we sat out in the sun watching the world go by. This was taken just outside the cathedral looking across at the Fratry. So good to see mum, even just for a few hours.
